Stephen Mitchell
President Commissioner


An American citizen, Mr. Mitchell was born in Utah on 21 October 1954. He obtained his Degree in Brigham Young University majoring Political Science and his MBA attained from the University of California at Irvine, in 1979. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and past Certified Treasury Professional.

Mr. Mitchell has been the Bank’s President Commissioners since 16 December 2008. He is also the Vice President of Financial Services and past Chief Financial Officer of Mercy Corps, a $300 million global poverty relief and development agency with headquarter offices in North America and Europe. Supported by 4,500 staffs, Mercy Corps reaches nearly 18 million people worldwide in over 45 countries.

With 30 years of domestic and international finance experience, he has an extensive working exposure in the private sector for major U.S. financial and public accounting institutions, including U.S. Bank and Price Waterhouse Coopers. He had previously served as the Chairman of XacBank, one of Asia's most successful commercial microfinance organizations.

Mr. Mitchell is also an advisor on microfinance issues around the world and has been an active speaker in many accounting conferences and forums.

Daniel Iskandar*

Independent Commissioner


An Indonesian citizen, born in Padang, Sumatera Barat on May 12, 1959. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA in 1983. He also studied Housing Finance and ABS at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Mr. Iskandar joined Bank Andara in August 2011. He had been a member of Audit Committee member under the Board of Commissioners until he was appointed as Independent Commissioners of the Bank through shareholders resolution which taken outside the meeting on December 2, 2013.

Today, he is also a National Board Member of World Vision Indonesia, a Senior Financial Advisor at Accountant Firm RSM-AAJ and a Lecturer on Capital Markets and Good Corporate Governance at School of Business and Management of Bandung Institute of Technology.

His extensive banking and capital market experience has spanned nearly 30 years. He started his career as a Credit Marketing Officer and Private Bankers at the Chase Manhattan Bank NA in 1985. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions at senior management level in many prominent companies, including PT Nomura Indonesia, PT Barclays de Zoette Wedd Niaga Securities, JAVATRADE INVESTA Pte. Ltd. Singapore and Jakarta, PT Danareksa (Persero), PT Overseas Securities and PT Capital Turbine Indonesia.

Delima Kiswanti
Independent Commissioner


An Indonesian citizen, Ms. Delima was born in Tanjung Pinang on 5 May 1956. She earned her MBA from the University of Southern California and BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology

She was appointed as an Independent Commissioner of the Bank on 22 October 2010.

Her 20 years experience in banking sector has brought her to assume some strategic positions in Citibank N. A. Jakarta and ING Indonesia Bank. She was the Chief Executive Officer (1999-2006) in Bank Purba Danarta, a bank specifically established to serve micro entrepreneurs and low-income households sectors.

Prior to joining Bank Andara, she worked as a consultant in the micro-finance sectors among others in Jakarta, Denpasar, Yogyakarta, Pontianak, Nias, Aceh, and East Timor. Her consulting portfolio includes an assignment to prepare, set up, and support the operation of the first rural bank (BPR) in Papua.
