Bank Andara and Mercy Corps conduct an official visit at corn plantation sites in Dompu and Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. This visit is to observe the budget absorption of IDR 3.2 Billion that has been disbursed through the Rural Bank (Bank Perkreditan Rakyat / BPR) Pesisir Akbar and directed to corn crop financing programs to 400 farmers. IT & Operations Director of Bank Andara, Irianto Kusumadjaja is optimist on this development program and if the program successful, the Bank Andara will disburse even more, including to finance cattle and seaweed. The corn planting program uses a pattern of Start With Good (Awali Dengan Baik / ADB) and the farmers introduced with corn cultivation technology to increase production by 20%. This visit also providing financial literacy education to farmers to fond of saving and in the bank and can be utilized to borrow money. In this visit, the Director of Bank Andara accompanied by Paul Jeffery (Mercy Corps Indonesia), Nur Iman Afandi (Sygenta), and H. Zas Ari (BPR Pesisir Akbar, Bima).
