On Monday, December 1st, 2014, Bank Andara signed an agreement with PT AIG Insurance Indonesia ("AIG Indonesia") to provide better access to financial services for end clients, especially the benefits of Micro Insurance.
President Director of Bank Andara, Darwin Wibowo explained, "For Bank Andara, This is an excellent opportunity to carry out our vision and mission in financial inclusion in Indonesia with banking services that provide more benefits to customers."
AIG Indonesia, which has been serving customers in Indonesia for 45 years, has launched the Health and Accident Insurance Micro (Micro Insurance) since 2007, which provides a comprehensive protection solution to middle-low society for the unexpected events such as accidents and illness.
"AIG Indonesia is one of the pioneers in the Health and Accident Insurance Micro in Indonesia. We’re very proud to collaborate with Bank Andara who committed in providing access to financial services for Microfinance Institutions in Indonesia," said Jon-Paul Jones, President Director and CEO of AIG Indonesia.
"We hope that by signing this agreement, AIG Indonesia and Bank Andara can help to increase public knowledge of financial literacy, particularly the Health and Accident Insurance Micro," added Jon-Paul Jones.
AIG Micro Insurance offered with a premium starting from Rp100,000 per year or equivalent to Rp8,500 per month. This product has a comprehensive protection such as inpatient with up to Rp100,000 per day (for up to 90 days a year), surgery with up to Rp2,500,000 per year, and also the accidental deceased benefits and compensation for family income.
