Bank Andara re-conducted the "Training Management Microfinance Development Program (MMDP)" for Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) in East Java. This training was aimed to provide skills in performing the transformation in micro-finance aspect. The training was attended by 30 participants consisting of MFI’s Directors and Managers / Heads of Bank Andara’s partners in East Java area and starting from Wednesday to Friday (22-24/1) and the venue was held at Prime Royal Hotel Surabaya.
"The re-conduction of this training reflects Bank Andara’s commitment to increase the capacity of MFIs’ human resources, competitiveness and quality management in order to compete with other financial institutions," said Iwan Kusuma, Branch Manager of Bank Andara Surabaya during his opening speech at training.
Iwan added that the competition in financial services industry is getting harder that 'force' the MFI’s keep improving the competence and capacity of human resources to reach those un served or lack of financial services by commercial banks. "Therefore, in order to improve the MFIs’ performance, we have various agendas of training by adapting their needs," said Iwan.
This MMDP is one of the MFI’s Increased Competitiveness Strategy Programs held by Bank Andara. There are 5 training topics to be held by the bank for MFIs such as MMDP, Risk Awareness, Business Plan, Leadership and Motivation, and Asset & Liability Management. This program has been ongoing since last September up to February 2014 and held in 4 branches of Bank Andara (Jakarta, Denpasar, Semarang and Surabaya).
