Bank Andara, through Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) Increased Competitiveness Strategies Program, conducts a "Business Plan Development Training" for MFIs in Central Java. This training is aimed to provide guidance for MFIs to prepare strategic and operational business plan and introduce financial projection worksheet.
The training is attended by 31 participants that consist of BPR Directors and Cooperative/ MFI Managers as Bank Andara’s partners or those prospective partners. The training lasts for 4 (four) days, starting Tuesday up to Friday (3-6/9) at Ciputra Hotel, Semarang.
Daroe Handojo, Institutional Banking Head of Bank Andara opens the training session. In his opening speech, Daroe delivers that the training is deemed as Bank Andara’s commitment and effort to improve MFI’s leadership skill and management quality especially on human resources aspect in order to compete with other formal financial institutions.
“Furthermore, it is such challenge to MFIs as there are many Indonesian that are un-served or underserved by financial services and product access that improvement on MFI’s Human Resource’s competence and capacity is highly required,” he adds.
The participants of the training are trained on financial planning development and strategic & operational planning articulation to accommodate the existing government’s requirement and regulations.
The Business Plan Development Training is one of MFI’s Competitiveness Strategy Program. In overall, there are 5 training topics that are planned to be conducted by Bank Andara: Microfinance Management Development Program (MMDP), Risk Awareness, Business Plan, Leadership and Motivation, and Asset & Liability Management. The program will last up to the next 6 months until February 2014 and will be held in Bank Andara’s 4 branches, Jakarta, Denpasar, Semarang and Surabaya.
